Sword, Staff, or Shield?

Which did you pick the first time you played Kingdom Hearts?
I myself choose the Staff.
Not sure why I opted for magic at the time, but I suppose the sequence of abilities which followed was decent.

I went for the sword. Its not a big surprises though. I really didnt understand at first and the type seemed to fit me best.

well I don't own the game but I did play a little of it at a store or two and I did pick the sword in the begining.

I think I chose the sheild or the sword.I don't remember.But I know I never chose the staff.
